This year we broke tradition of going to the hot desert for the 4th of July and tried something new - Big Bear Lake. We had an awesome cabin and had so much fun playing, eating and drinking. We had thunderstorms, a 4.6 earthquake, fireworks, hot tub time, long walks, water table fun and lots of good food.
G arriving and checking out the front porch...
The first night we had Joanna's homemade enchiladas with chips and guacamole. YUM!
On the 4th we had a festive breakfast outside with bacon, red velvet pancakes and regular pancakes. Giuliana loved the red velvet pancakes!
While everyone else took a morning nap, G and I went for a walk to do some exploring...
Napping to the sound of rain after lots of playing...
We lost track of her for a minute and I found her playing in my make up with a purple bow added to her head...
G experienced her first popcicle...
Which was promptly followed by a quick shower...
Oh yes, we had the adult versions too (with champagne)
We had lots of fun in the garage-turned-gameroom...
A little photo session right before leaving for the fireworks...
This pose was totally unprompted...
"We have to wait three hours before the fireworks???"
On Saturday G had some fun throwing rocks...(seriously, she loved it)
We went to the lake/park for a bit...
And enjoyed drinks and music on the patio during the rain
