Memorial Day

We are still recovering after a fun weekend. The fun started on Friday afternoon when I busted G out of daycare a few hours early. I arrived at the end up naptime, and she was so confused (and happy) that Momma was there!

We spent the weekend in Escondido at the Nelson's and ate some good food, and got some good sun. Giuliana, as usual, had a blast swimming and learned to count ("two - teeeee!" (three) before going under water.  She always forgets to say "1". On Sunday some Oklahoma/military friends joined us with their three kids. We hadn't seen them since last Memorial Day so it was wonderful catching up. Michelle got me through Jeff's deployment almost 10 years ago and her friendship will also be so important to me. Even though we don't see each other enough, it's always as if no time has passed!

Our little family :) Love!

Chowing down on strawberries...

After a full day of playing in the sun on Sunday, she was one tired girl! Just look at that face...

On Monday, we joined some friends on their boat for a boat ride. Mimosas, sunshine, snacks and the sea...what more could you want?

She doesn't look happy but it was just because I wouldn't let her run around while they were trying to leave the dock. She LOVED the boat.

When we left Newport harbor, and started to go fast, she got so excited and kept saying "weeeee", which is what she says when Daddy is the one driving the car too :)

She had so much fun playing in the ice and did a good job keeping the deck nice and cool.

We are so blessed for so many great friends and loved getting to spend our weekend with them. We are also so thankful for everyone who has served, or is serving in the military, as well as their families who give up SO much so we can live in this amazing country we call home :)
