Last weekend we took off work Friday and headed up to Mammoth with Derrick, Theresa, Christina and Shadow. Its about 300 miles away from LA and is really an amazing place to ski/snowboard. People say it's a "best kept secret" because it seems if you aren't from California you have not heard of it. Mammoth features 28 lifts, 3,100 vertical feet, 3,500 skiable acres, 150 named trials, top elevation of 11,053 feet and over 400 inches of annual snowfall!
Mammoth also has great restaurants and night life and a new village located by the new Canyon Lodge.
